Q: The customer reports that some users forget to get offline or when they do not use network bandwidth, it needs to force those users offline at BAS, avoiding extra losses. How does MA5200G set the idle cut for users?
It is regulated that if a broadband user has no traffic in an hour (not including the control packets such as user detection) or if the customer request traffic lower limit, MA5200G will execute command to cut the user. If requested, configure MA5200G as follows, or according to the requirements of users.
[MA5200G-aaa-domain-test]idle-cut xx xx
For instance: [MA5200G-aaa-domain-test]idle-cut 60 120
The configuration means that if the traffic of a user at one minute within an hour does not reach 120Kbyte, it will be forced offline. The last parameter (the value of traffic required in every minute) could be advertised by Radius.
