Tape Drives cannot be Detected after The VTL3605 is Connected to the HP Minicomputer

Issue Description
One VTL3605 with a single-port HBA is connected to a HP RX8640 minicomputer (using the HP-UX 11i23 operating system) through HP StorageWorks 4/16 San Switch. One DAT72 tape drive is connected to HP-UX for system backup. When 10 tape drives are virtualized on the VTL3605 and are to be allocated to the host, ioscan –fnCtape can only detect seven tape drives.

Suggestions
If more than eight tape drives are required, the HP host needs to provide more than one HBAs. Then, you can use more than eight tape drives with the wwpns mapped to different HBAs.
