Issue Description
Applicable Models:
All IPC models.

Symptom:

The IPC live video images are unclear in night vision.
Handling Process
Step 1 Check whether the IPC is blocked by some objects or illuminated by bright light.
  • If yes, remove the object or avoid the bright light during live video viewing.
  • If no, go to Step 2.
Step 2 Check whether there is no light source in the working environment of the IPC.
  • If yes, add auxiliary light source (for example, street lamp) in the working environment of the IPC.
  • If no, go to Step 3.
Step 3 (For eSpace IPC2902-Z18 and eSpace IPC2802-Z18) Check whether there is too much dust in the working environment of the IPC.
  • If there is too much dust in the working environment of the IPC, change the focus mode of the IPC to Push and set the position with better preview effect to the preset position based on the surveillance site requirements.
To set the focus mode to Push, right-click a live video screen, choose Sensor Config from the shortcut menu, select Focus Setting in the PU configuration dialog box, and set Focus mode to Push.

NOTE:
It is recommended that object borders, object edges and corners, or positions with white/black comparison be set to preset positions.
  • If the dust in the working environment of the IPC has little effect, contact your service provider.
Step 4 Check whether the fault is rectified.
  • If yes, no further operation is required.
  • If no, contact your service provider for assistance.
----End
Root Cause
The possible causes are as follows:
  • The IPC is blocked by some objects or illuminated by bright light.
  • There is no auxiliary light source in the working environment of the IPC.
  • There is too much dust in the working environment of the IPC so that the infrared effect and focusing are affected.
