Issue Description
What should I do if I forget the login password?
Solution
Restore the IPC to factory defaults to obtain the initial password. You can use either of the following methods to restore the IPC to factory defaults:
  • Hold down the RESET button on the IPC for more than 3 seconds to obtain the initial password HuaWei123.
  • Use SSH to log in to the IPC as the admin user, go to the rm -f /usr/log/config* and rm -f /usr/setting/config* command, run the reboot -f command to restart the IPC and obtain the initial password HuaWei123.
NOTE:
 The FAQ may occur on the following models of IPCs: IPC2601-P, IPC5601-P, IPC2701-P, IPC5701-P, IPC2811-WD-Z20, IPC5811-WD-Z20, IPC2611-LTE, IPC2611-F, IPC5611-F, IPC5611-WD-F, IPC6111-I, IPC6111-L1-I, IPC6121-I, IPC6121-WD-I, IPC6511-Z20-FI, IPC6511-Z20-I, IPC6521-Z20-FI, IPC6521-Z20-I.
 After restoring an IPC to factory defaults, all settings are restored to default settings. Therefore, it is recommended that you record your password and keep your password secure.
