Issue Description
Why does a S5000 (V100R001 or V100R005C02) storage device fail to detect a newly added disk enclosure?
Solution
1.  Observe the rate of the DIP switch on the rear panel of the controller enclosure. Figure 1 shows the DIP switch.

 NOTE:
    In Figure 1, 3/4G rate indicator means that the rate is 4 Gbit/s. When the indicator is green on, the data transfer rate between the controller enclosure and disk enclosures is 4 Gbit/s.
   3/4G rate indicator reserves the rate indication of 3 Gbit/s, but this rate is unavailable in the storage system now.

2.  Observe the rate of the DIP switch on the rear panel of the disk enclosure.

3.  Adjust the DIP switch on the disk enclosure to accord it with that on the controller enclosure.
  • If the DIP switch rate on the controller enclosure is 2G, adjust that on the disk enclosure to 2G.
  • If the DIP switch rate on the controller enclosure is 4G, adjust that on the disk enclosure to 4G.
