Handling Process
Modify the IP address for several times, but the sending always fails. Therefore, it is suspected that the IP address is not supported by the host, but the sending still fails by using the IP of the same network segment. Query the gateway setting of the equipment by chance and find that it is not the default 0.0.0.0. Then reset the gateway and then send IP address, which succeeds. And then reset the gateway. The modification is successful.
Root Cause
This fault is caused by the host, which does not permit the modification of IP address after the gateway of equipment is set. Therefore, the gateway setting should be reset first. The sequence of ip setting modification: first modify the IP address, then the gateway, finally the subnet mask.
