Because of inconsistent Working Mode of Router and ET1,there is packet-loss

Issue Description
An Ethernet port in a certain piece of Metro 1000 equipment ET1 is connected with Router, and is found communication roughly with each other, the packet-loss rate of Ethernet testing PING packet is 10%.

 

Alarm Information
Query the working mode of Metro1000 Ethernet port, it is 100M half-duplex, while, the Router Ethernet port working mode is full-duplex, modify the Ethernet port working mode to 100M full-duplex, both sides communicate normally, the packet-loss rate shows in the meter is 0, the fault is removed. 
Handling Process
Ethernet port of Metro equipment ET1 board can work in the following modes:
self: self-negotiation;
10mpart: 10M half-duplex
10mfull: 10M full-duplex
100mpart: 100M half-duplex
100mfull: 100M full-duplex
Root Cause
Query the working mode of Metro1000 Ethernet port, it is 100M half-duplex, while, the Router Ethernet port working mode is full-duplex, modify the Ethernet port working mode to 100M full-duplex, both sides communicate normally, the packet-loss rate shows in the meter is 0, the fault is removed. 
Suggestions
In practical application, if the working mode of the two sides differs from one another, the conflict will arouse in data transmitting, due to different receiving-and-sending mode, consequently, cause the loss of packet. Thereby, it is suggested that in the course of deployment, the port working mode of the two sides should set in a fixed identical working mode, namely, 10M full-duplex or 100M full-duplex. If it is stick to the self-negotiation, both sides shall be set to self-negotiation.
