Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  61 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Q:
Can  MPLS packet forwarded by NE40 be fragmented ?

Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
A:
All packet with MPLS forwarding cannot be fragmented, but NE serials router (including NE40/80, NE05/08E/16E) does not make MTU check for MPLS packet in VRP3.10 version. When NE serials router is making MPLS forwarding, the MTU of the interface does not influence the forwarding of MPLS large packet.
Note: VRP3.10-53XX (S8016V200R005 version) of S8016 makes MPLS forwarding, it  does MTU check for MPLS packet. When S8016 acts as P or PE, it must change MTU of public network interface.
