Some site builds IPTV MAN that mainly bears local IPTV and parts of broadband service. NE80E is square topology. A－NE80E and B－NE80E connect with A－NE5000E. C－NE80E and D－NE80E connect with B－NE5000E. The downlink of B－NE80E and C－NE80E connect two Cxx09. Cxx09 connects Cxx06 switch and Cxx06 attaches multicast source.
Problem: The client responds that there are many channels on border nodes and the channels cannot be watched. Check B-NE80E (RP) and there is short of parts of multicast route.
Through the following check, 1－4 are not problematic. For the fifth item, the device does not receive registration information from multicast source to RP. DR does not receive registration information or DR does not send registration information to RP.
Check the device with UT check. DRof multicast routing protocol of Shanghai Wenguang Equipment Room Cxx06 is 184.108.40.206. IP address is Cxx50 switch of Shanghai Wenguang Equipment Room. It is configured by Shanghai Wenguang and is not configured RP address of Harbin, so it influences the registration from multicast source to RP. The preference of two devices is the same. IP address of Shanghai Wenguang Equipment Room Cxx50 switch is xxx.212.252.245. Compared with IP addresses of twp Cxx6 switches in Harbin Wenguang Equipment Room of fifth floor. Shanghai Wenguang Equipment Room Cxx50 switch is DR. Adjust DR-PRIORITY of Cxx06-1in Harbin Wenguang Equipment Room and set it higher. And then the switch is DR. Check registration from multicast source to RP. Live service of CMS recovers.
1. Check whether the port of the device enables multicast protocol and the configuration is false or not.
2. Check configuration of router static RP. display pim rp-info and display multicast rpf-info. Check whether RP setting and network RP are consistent and there is RP route or not.
3. Check forwarding table of the route display multicast forwarding-table. For the interface without entry, check traffic and whether there is error packet or not.
4. Check routing table (S, G) display pim routing-table. If there is no routing entry, it indicates it does not receive registration packet send by DR of S network segment.
5. Check multicast routing entry of C corporation's device receives related registration packet or not.
