NE5000E and NE80E support tail discard and WRED.
1. Discard policy of PQ can use tail discard or WRED. For the service of high realtime, tail discard is generally used because the packet provides the maximum assurance. When the packet queue reaches the maximum length, it will be discarded. PQ scheduling is used and it preempts bandwidth of other service, the bandwidth of realtime service is ensured when there is block.
2. The discard policy of WFQ can use tail discard and WRED. WFQ generally use WRED. NE5000E and 80E support WRED with template. Supporting queue scheduling is based on port. WRED template on the port can configure eight at most and each template supports the handling of threecolors of packets (red, yellow and green). The discard posssibility of green packet is little and the threshold is large. The red is contrary. The threshold and discard possibility can be configured.
