Publication Date:  2012-07-24 Views:  32 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
During software commissioning for a project, the GSCC boards on slots 82,83 of the OSN1500 keep reporting MSSW_DIFFERENT alarm. The OSN1500 host
 version is 5.36.13.47. The CXL board type is SSQ2CXL411
Alarm Information
MSSW_DIFFERENT in GSCC boards.
Handling Process
Exclude the alarm comming from the first two causes by carefully checking the version match table. We concluded that the problem came from third cause.
Follow the steps below to solve the problem:
1. Issue the command line: "hsc-get-work" to check which GSCC board is standby.
2. Issue the command line: "sftm-delete-file" to delete all the files in the ofs1/hwx and ofs2/hwx folders of the standby GSCC board.
3. Issue the command line: "sftm-copy-file" to copy all the files deleted above from the active GSCC board to the standby GSCC one.
4. Reset the standby board and the alarm disappeared.
Root Cause
From T2000, MSSW_DIFFERENT alarm is caused by the following:
1)Primary and secondary boards are different in software version;
2)Version of file in the package of software is different between slave boad and master board;
3)Name and type of file in the package of software is different;
Suggestions
None.
