Publication Date:  2012-07-24 Views:  46 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
The board OSN1500 CXL soft resets regularly ,and the period is about one month.  The software version is R3C01B025SP03(5.36.13.44).

Alarm Information
 None.

Handling Process
Upgrade the NE software version to R3C02B030SP04(5.36.13.47).

Root Cause
By analyzing the data returned, the soft reset is caused by memory leak. Part of memory Cross-code  applied did not be released . When software couldn't apply any memory ,CXL would be soft reset.  The time interval between two successive soft reset is
about one month.

To locate the problem, use Navigator to connect the NE, issue command "log-query" to query the blackbox record "bb0" and "mon-get-errlog" to query the reset log.

bb0.log          2006-9-30 13:5:42         ErrCode:0x70001, Level:0, File:fpatrol_module., Line:2506, Info:VOS_Malloc
bb0.log          2006-11-2 4:0:22             ErrCode:0x70001, Level:0, File:fpatrol_module., Line:2506, Info:VOS_Malloc

If the errcode is "0x70001" and info is "VOS_Malloc", it means fail to allocate memory. Thus, we can judge the reset is caused by memory leak or not.
