Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  51 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Q:
At C company device, how to get the ISIS cost configuration without the help of current interface configurations?
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
A:
The permission to access devices authorized for engineers by the carrier often vary with the vendors. For instance, HUAWEI engineers can get the highest permission to access HUAWEI devices, but lower permission to access C company devices. Some devices have opened the show command, and the others not. Additionally, even though you can use show command, you cannot see the configurations of devices, and HUAWEI engineers only can see the routing information and interface information. In this case, Huawei engineers cannot view the isis cost configurations of interface directly because of insufficient permission, so how to get the isis cost information of the interface then?
1. Use show isis topology command to check the topology after isis is configured.
2. The topology information contains the isis cost from the local device to the others, and the cost value is the isis cost setting from the C device to the relevant interfaces of other devices.
