Currently there're 4 types of SRU boards: SRUB, SRUC, SRUD, SRUE.
SRUC/SRUD support NE40-2.
SRUB/SRUE support NE40-2, NE40-4, NE40-8.
SRUE is improved version of SRUB.
SRUD is improved version of SRUC. (SRUB and SRUC are old boards).
Difference
SRUB:
CPU:MPC750 366MHZ
RAM:512M,compatible with 1G
Flash:16M,compatible with 32M
Storage: Harddisk
SRUE:
CPU:PMC7447A 1GHZ
RAM:1G,compatible with 2G 
Flash:32M,compatible with 64M
Storage: CFCard and Harddisk
Note: different types of SRU boards can't be used together in one NE40 router.
