FAQ-Does the MA5606T DSLAM support different power management states

Publication Date:  2012-07-24 Views:  42 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
 Q:
We have connected a VDSL modem to the DSLAM with no traffic. After one hour the output of the DSLAM showed:
MA5606_Lower(config-if-vdsl-0/2)#display line operation 10
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Standard in port training                               : G.993.2-Annex B
Current power management state             : Full-on state  (still in full-on state) .
Customer has asked us whether we need to do any special configuration in the DSLAM to enable the different power management
states for a particular line.
Alarm Information

Handling Process
A:
After confirming the problem with R&D, they confirmed that for the time being the MA5606T does not support power management for VDSL2.  However the result mentioned appears in the command line because the feature might be available at a future date. We explained the problem to the customer and we cleared the case.
Root Cause
Null
Suggestions
Most of the times we see some parameters in the system that might be unusable but most of the times the R&D will consider the further expansions.
