FAQ- How to Enlarge the Quantity of Loaded Equipment During Automatic DC Upgrade

Publication Date:  2012-07-24 Views:  37 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Q:
When we apply DC automatic batch upgrade, we finds that although there are 50 pieces of equipment included in one task, the maximal quantity of equipment able to be loaded simultaneously is 15. How to enlarge the quantity of loaded equipment simultaneously and enhance the upgrading speed?
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
A:
The defaulted quantity of equipment able to be loaded simultaneously set for the DC automatic batch upgrade tool is 15. To enlarge the quantity of equipment able to be loaded simultaneously, you can modify the configuration file under /opt/n2000/server/conf/dc.cfg to modify the parameter value in
#Request Scheduler Max Thread Count
DC_RQST_SCHEDULER_MAX_THREAD_COUNT = 15
to a larger value, and restart the DC process.
Root Cause
Null
Suggestions
There is no limit for the parameter value in theory, but preferentially below 50. According to the experience in the use of DC, you may fail to upgrade equipment after enlarging the parameter value due to the low efficiency of TFTP and the excessive Traps of equipment. You can just upgrade the failing equipment again.
