Hardware: Dell optitlex 755 with 1 G memory
OS: Win server 2003 SP2
N2000 version: V200R011C03B022
Citrix: CitrixApp 4.5 (provide remote access)
I install the N2000 client base on win xp, and the N2000 running very well.
After I change the OS to win server 2003 and install N2000 and the Citrix software. But after I install the Citrix software, the N2000 client can’t start to running. I click the quick link on desk and run it base on CMD. Neither of the two modes works. Besides I do see the process of “Javaw.exe” start and disappear soon.
1: The VGA driver hasn’t be installed, after install the driver, the problem going on.
2: User “netstat -na” to check if the “9800” and “9803” port have been used, the result is no
3: Check the directory of “D:\N2000\client\tracefile” and “D:\N2000\client\tracefile”, and the colleague of R&D said the logging information is right.
4: Install all of the patch files, the problem still going on
5: change the “D:\N2000\client\client.config” file:
Change “vmparam -Dprocess=./jre/bin/java” into “#vmparam -Dprocess=./jre/bin/java”
Because N2000 use JDK version 1.4.0, but Citrix use JDK1.5.0, It’s doesn’t work
6: Check the memory of the DELL 755, i found nearly 500M has being used because Citrix start running, this meaning only 500M left for other process, but at the "client.config" file, the N2000 need at least 500M, this is very dangerous for N2000, so I change “D:\N2000\client\client.config” file as follow:
this meaning i only need 256m memory to start N2000, than the N2000 client begin to work.
may be the problem has something to do with Citrix or Windows server 2003
normally, 1G memory is enough for N2000 client, but some time the memory was used by other software, we need change the configuration or add memory for the computer.
