Lack of MA5615 Data in the DCDB Causes the Failure of DC Backup

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  22 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
An office uses the DC client to back up the data of the MA5615, and the system prompts "Does not support this frame type".
Version of the N2000 BMS: V200R008B02D061SP26
Version of the MA5615: V100R012C01B035

Alarm Information
When you back up the data of the MA5615 through the DC, the system displays that “Does not support this frame type”.
Handling Process
1. Upload the libdcma5615.so file in binary mode to the following directory of the N2000 BMS server: /opt/n2000/server/lib.
Note: For Windows N2000 BMS server, copy the file directly, and no binary mode is required.
2. Upload the SupportMa5615.sql file in binary mode to the N2000 BMS server (Note: For Windows N2000 BMS server, copy the file directly, and no binary mode is required). And then run the following command to insert the scripts of the MA5615 to the DCDB:
isql -Usa -Ppassword -SN2000DBServer -i./SupportMa5615.sql -o./result.log
3. Reboot the MA5615 process and then perform DC backup. The backup is successful.

Root Cause
The MA5615 is a new device that is added and managed since the N2000 BMS of the V200R008 SP24 version. Hence, the data of the MA5615 is not added to the DCDB database. That is why this fault occurs.
Suggestions
For the version V200R08B02D061SP26 or earlier versions, you can rectify the fault as described in this case. The version will be merged into the SP27 version. Then, refer to the release note.
