 A:
You can modify the rate of serial port through the menu of Solaris 10 Solaris Management Console (SMC). The steps are as follows:
1. Start SMC, and run the root#smc& command.
2. Modify the parameters device and hardware, and serial port through the graphical menu. Set baud rate to a required value, such as 9600 or 11520.
