Query the switching status of the client-side 1+1 protection group involving control units (DCP/OLP), and the state of the working and protection channels are IN_NORMAL but the switching state AUTOW.
First of all, check whether the fiber connecting the client side of the active and standby OTU boards and control units is cut or wrongly plugged. If the fibers are not cut or wrongly plugged, check whether there is the MUT_LOS alarm or the POWER_DIFF_OVER alarm at the port of each control unit configured with client-side 1+1 protection.
If there is the MUT_LOS alarm, the fiber of the non-working channel is damaged and needs to be changed.
If there is the POWER_DIFF_OVER alarm, the optical power variance of the active and standby control units exceeds its threshold. Adjust the power properly according to the methods for eliminating the POWER_DIFF_OVER alarm.
After the two alarms clear, query the switching status again to check whether it is normal.
When the switching status of the client-side 1+1 protection involving control units (DCP/OLP) is queried, the status of the working and protection channels is obtained from the OTU board, whereas the switching status and the status of the working channel are obtained from control units.
In any of the following cases:
1. The fibers connecting the client side of the active and standby OTU boards and control units are cut, wrongly plugged, aged or damaged.
2. The client-side optical power of the active OTU differs greatly from that of the standby OTU.The status of the working and protection channels obtained from the OTU board is not affected, but the switching of control units is triggered. As the switching status of the protection group is obtained from control units, the queried switching status of the protection group is AUTOSW.
