Users Fail to Log In to the Server from the N2000 BMS Client Because of the Incorrect Setting of the Client

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  33 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
The N2000 BMS client can ping the server, and can automatically update the version from the server, but fails to log in to the server, with the message "Communication fails" displayed.
Alarm Information
When users log in to the server from the client, the system displays the message "Communication fails".
Handling Process
1. The client can ping the server, and automatically update the version from the server. Thus, the problem related to the communication is excluded.
2. Check the versions of the N2000 BMS server and client. It is found that the versions are the same.
3. Check the "server settings" of the client. It is found that the mode is set to common. Check the mode of the server, and it is found that the mode is set to SSL. Modify the mode in the "server settings" on the client to "SSL". Then, users can log in to the server from the client.

Root Cause
1. The version of the N2000 BMS on the server is not consistent with that on the client.
2. The communication between the N2000 BMS server and the client fails.
3. The settings on the N2000 BMS server or client are incorrect.

Suggestions
The authentication mode of the server and the client of the N2000 BMS should be the same, "common" or "SSL".
