System Architecture: TI Network:
Element Manager N2000 Bms Server V200R011C03B022
Element Manager N2000 Bms Client (Presentation)
Remote TI Proprerty Browser.
Ti Refuse to use the direct connecton to the N2000 Server by Remote X-Browser.
The solution adopted consists in a remote connection to the Presentation layer of the N2000Server installed on a second machine by a Proprety Remote Browser.
In some particolular cases, when the presentation server is not avaiable the connection is setted directly on main BMS Server.
This is the situation under analisys.
The syntoms of the fault are that TI Remote client is unable to connect correctly to BMS main server.
After the correct insert of log credentials the Remote Client refuse the connection to the Server.
The pop-up Window reports the following message:
"Failed to load the required module. The system will exit.
Failed module name: BMS_Scene Module"
The problem is caused by disk space.
Checking the amount of space used by the server we found that in the n2000 directory the total space exceeds the 98% of the total avaiable disk space.
To check the disk space the following command was entered on the server:
# cd opt/n2000
We solved the problem deleting log , trace files and user archive, in order to save some disk space:
# rm -r users
#rm -f log*
#rm -f *.log
For the correct handling of the problem the following consideration have been done:
1) Is not a link problem. Ping to the server is alive and telnet to the server is avaiable
2) Is not a credential problem: log process starts but is stopped while the log is in progress.
3) The connection by X-browser directly pointing the BMS server is avaiable
---> Problem may be on Server
I think that a script that start this opertation when a target value of the total space is reached can solve the problem permanently.
