This problem occur while performing card swap operation when installing SEP1 and trying to install it as SEP board. When installing the physical boards, field engineer Download the new configuration data to the NE. After download process is completed, the SEP board failed to run. LED indicator on the board is in normal state but NE Panel on T2000 shows that the SEP board is in Running & Uninstalled state (icon is blue in color). Error message is shown when try to install manually on T2000 NE Panel. Traffic is affected at this time.
1. If SEP1 board is in Running & Uninstalled state (icon is blue in color) in T2000, wait for the new boards to fully initialized and LED indicator in running state.
2. Download again the new configuration data to the NE using Configuration Data Management in T2000. Make sure to set the Download Mode to Non-interrupt mode.
3. For card swap operation that involves SEP1 boards, do not Download the new configuration data to the NE before the newly installed boards are in running state (i.e. STAT, ACT and PROG LED indicators are green).
SEP1 can be configured as both SEP1 and SEP board. The SEP1 is a 2 x STM-1 electrical signal processing board, with two STM-1 electrical interfaces on the front panel. The SEP is signal processing board with interface board, in this case, the SEP1 is named SEP. Because of this dual function, the hardware chip inside the board takes time to identify the setting. Downloading configuration data to NE must be done after all SEP boards is physically installed and in running state.
Configuring SEP1 board as SEP must be done after the board is physically installed and in running state. Unlike other boards, downloading new configuration data cannot be done at the same time when installing the physical board.
