FAQ-Why Is the NO_BD_PARA Alarm Reported by the OAU of the OptiX OSN 6800

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  39 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Q:
Why is the NO_BD_PARA alarm reported by the OAU after the ALC function is configured on the OptiX OSN 6800 V100R003?

Alarm Information
NO_BD_PARA
Handling Process
A:
The ALC configuration is improper, and thus the computed current exceeds the maximum OAU gain, that is, 31 dB. The software processing is faulty. When the optical amplifier board uses the extended gain, if the computed pump current exceeds the maximum value, a critical alarm is reported. When the software computes the drop-wavelength parameter table, if the computed corner current exceeds the rated current, the rated current is used as the corner current. In this case, no alarm need be reported. Impact:
This problem is not triggered in the case of normal configuration. If this problem is triggered, the services and functions are not affected. You can solve this problem by modifying the configuration.Version solving this problem: R3C02B028
