Step1 add below lines to the end of /etc/system:
set rlim_fd_max = 4096
set rlim_fd_cur = 2048
The system need to be restarted  after modifyed .You can check if it has been configured successed with below command.And the first part is the current value ,the second part is the max value.
$ sysdef | grep "file descriptors"
0x0000000000000800:0x0000000000001000   file descriptors
Step 2 configure the connections:
#isql -Usa -PXXX -SN2000DBServer ---Enter the isql  command
1>sp_configure 'number of user connections ',1024
