Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  45 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
Q:
does NE40 VPLS service work with J router?
Alarm Information
null
Handling Process
A:
trying to setup an VPLS between M10i and NE40 router faild because J is advertising a VC Type of 0x5(untagged
Ethernet) and send the packet with tag. see below debug when VPLS is configured:
AToM LDP [200.225.196.30]: Received label mapping msg, id 1506,
GR instance 8
AToM LDP [200.225.196.30]: VC Type 5, mtu 1500
AToM LDP [200.225.196.30]: VC ID 778, label 262146
AToM LDP [200.225.196.30]: Group 0
I guess that Junos is implementing the LDP VPLS rfc in a wrong way. Telling 0x5 (untagged) and sending tagged packets.
