Two OSN 6800s form an ODU1 SNCP protection ring at stations A and B of one project. Both station A and station B are configured with two NS2 boards and one TQS board. The 101-NS2 functions as the active board; the 102-NS2 the standby board; the 103-TQS the tributary board. The OSN 6800 fails to configure the SNC/N service, prompting "Protection group parameters are configured improperly. Error code: 39329." In this case, the NE software version is 126.96.36.199.
Enable the ODU1 non-intrusive monitoring of the corresponding channels of the active and standby NS2 boards on the NMS. And then, you can successfully configure the ODU1 SNCP service of SNC/N. As a result, protection switching can be performed normally.
1. The ODU1 SNC/N protection detects service signals by using the detection function of the PM section overhead of ODU1. The SCC associates the enabling of ODU1 non-intrusive monitoring with the monitoring conditions of protection group. After an SNC/N protection group is configured, the SNC/N protection group can monitor the PM section and the ODU1 channel protection can perform switching normally, only when you enable the ODU1 non-intrusive monitoring of the corresponding channels of the active and standby NS2 boards.
2. In version V100R001, there is no requirement for enabling non-intrusive monitoring in the case of the SNC/N protection. In this case, switching cannot be performed in case of an ODU1 channel fault.
3. To guarantee that ODU1 SNCP protection switching can be performed normally, non-intrusive monitoring needs to be enabled in version V100R003. That is, the ODU1 SNCP service of SNC/N can be configured only when non-intrusive monitoring is enabled.
