To check whether data of the active and standby control boards are synchronized or to view last words of the standby control board, use the following method and the active/standby switchover need not be performed:
1. Connect the external network port of the active control board to any device such as the LSW or tester, and make sure that the external network port is in the up state.
2. Enter the su mode through the serial port of the active control board and enable the external network port of the standby control board.

3. Configure the IP address of the external network port and connect the external network port of the standby control board. Make sure that the PC can communicate with the external network port of the standby control board normally.
4. Telnet to the IP address of the external network port and log in to the MA5680T as the user root to query the information about the standby control board. You can telnet to the active and standby control boards through the serial ports as the user root.

5. To cancel the external network port of the standby control board, disable the external network port of the standby control board through the serial port of the active control board in the su mode.
