Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  53 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
After finished install N2000V2R12, customer test ADSL management function and found that when activate or deactivate port, the port status not change real-time. We need to refresh the view to force port status updated.
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
1. Check the SNMP configuration on device compare with on NMS
2. Found there is the mismatch SNMP Trap configuration between NMS and device. On the device, it set SNMP trap to support v2c. However on NMS, it can see SNMP trap of this device to support v1.
3. So, set SNMP trap to support version 1 as the following
“snmp-agent target-host trap-paramsname NMS v1 securityname private”
4. After change SNMP trap to version1, the problem is cleared.
Root Cause
When Activate or deactivate port, the status port not refresh automatic. If manual using refreshes function, port can show status correctly. Since the problem is related to SNMP setting, so we focus on checking this part first.
Suggestions
Carefully check the snmp setting between NMS and device when you face the problem related alarm, query, and add node failed.
