Method for Retrieving the Lost IP Address of the OptiX 155 622H Not Through the ECC

Issue Description
During field deployment of the OptiX 155/622H, the IP address was modified before. The T2000 could not log in to the NE to query the IP address through the ECC route. As a result, the customer could not log in to the NE for commissioning on site.

Handling Process

1.       Set the most significant byte of the ID switch to FA, that is, 11110101. After the NE is reset and enters into the BIOS state, the IP address of the NE is 129.9.0.5. The IP address is independent of settings, such as the NE ID.

2.       Set the IP address of the computer in the 129 network segment. Log in to the NE. Enter the :ip command in the BIOS state. The IP address of the NE can be retrieved.

3.    Restore the most significant byte of the ID switch. Then, the NE is in the BIOS state and enters the normal state. This operation 
       does  not have impact on the NE software or configuration data.

For the 43SCB, the DIP switch can be set on the panel. For the 42SCB, the SCB board must be plugged out for DIP switch setting. Therefore, this operation is recommended during deployment.
