Issue Description
Q:
How to configure protection (type B protection) for two PON ports on the MA5680T V800R006C02?
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
A:
1. The MA5680T V800R006C02 supports the protection function for PON ports between PON boards.
2. Add a PON protect group.
MA5680T(config)#protect-group protect-target gpon-uni-port workmode timedelay
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#protect-group member port 0/3/2 role work
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#protect-group member port 0/3/3 role protect
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#protect-group enable
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#quit
3. Delete a PON protect group.
MA5680T(config)#protect-group 1
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#protect-group disable
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#undo protect-group member port 0/3/3
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#undo protect-group member port 0/3/2
MA5680T(protect-group-1)#quit
MA5680T(config)#undo protect-group 1
Root Cause
Null
Suggestions
1. Two PON ports added to the protect group can be on different PON boards.
2. When deleting a protect group, delete the PON port in the protection state and then delete the PON port in the working state.
