Issue Description
Q:
What's the detail of broadcast-suppression implementation on NE80&40?
Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process
A:
Using the broadcast-suppression command, you can suppress the broadcast bandwidth of the LAN interface and set the ratio for suppressing the broadcast bandwidth.
On NE80&40, It use a token bucket as a CAR software-based to measure the flow of the boradcast. The system puts the tokens in the token bucket at a certain rate. The packets passing through this interface are allocated with the tokens. Then the packets with the tokens are forwarded. At the same time, the number of tokens in the bucket is reduced. If the token is insufficient, the later packets are discarded. In this way, the rate at the interface is limited.
For VRP3.10 version, broadcast bandwidth suppression is enabled by default and the default ratio value is 10.
For V3R2 or later version, broadcast bandwidth suppression is disabled by defult.
