The Option field in a DHCP packet is used to carry control information and parameters that are not defined in certain protocols. If the DHCP server is configured with options, when a DHCP client applies for an IP address, the client can obtain the configuration information in the Option field of the DHCP response packet responded by the server. The value of the DHCP option ranges from 0 to 255. In V300R003, 14 options of the DHCP server are realized. They are Option 1, 51, 50, 52, 53, 54, 57, 58, 59, 6, 15, 3, 44, and 46. In addition, Option 82 of the DHCP relay is realized as specified in RFC 2132.
