Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  2 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
The SFU of NE40E alarms that the SFU is abnormal .The SFU resumed later . Version:NE40E V300R006C01SPC003
The alarm is: Jun 14 2010 17:13:40 RR-A1 %%01SRM/2/NODEFAULT(l):Slot=152;OTHER of SFU14 is failed, perhaps EPLD of LOGIC is abnormal. (Reason="The EPLD is abnormal!")
Alarm Information
Jun 14 2010 17:13:40 RR-A1 %%01SRM/2/NODEFAULT(l):Slot=152;OTHER of SFU14 is failed, perhaps EPLD of LOGIC is abnormal. (Reason="The EPLD is abnormal!")
Handling Process
Null
Root Cause
The problem is caused by the EPLD unit in the card. NE40E system check the SFU EPLD each 30 seconds , once the system find the input or output from EPLD if abnormal, system will alarm it. After 30s system will check it again, if it became normal, the alarm will resume.
Alarm will like that: Jun 14 2010 17:14:10 -RR-A1 %%01SRM/2/NODERESUME(l):Slot=152;OTHER of SFU14: EPLD of LOGIC resumed.
From the expierience it was found that sometimes due to some blocking EPLD doesn't response due to which it is showing abnormal, but if it will not resume after long time then its better to get new card.
Suggestions
If the EPLD not resumed after long time and becoming abnormal again and again then please change it with new card.
