FAQ-What Are the Precautions for Configuring RRPP on the S9300

Publication Date:  2012-07-27 Views:  51 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
What are the precautions for configuring RRPP on the S9300?
Alarm Information
 Null
Handling Process
The precautions for configuring RRPP on the S9300 are as follows:
1. Limited by hardware specifications, RRPP can use a maximum of 96 and 144 ACL rules on 24-port and 48-port boards. You must allocate ACL rules properly on a network where multiple RRPP rings are used.
2. RRPP and MSTP cannot be used on the S9300 simultaneously; therefore, STP must be disabled on interfaces of RRPP rings.
3. The RRPP convergence speed is related to the number of domains and rings. A smaller number of domains and rings represents faster RRPP convergence.
