cp: writing `/opt/n2510/n2510/uninstall/patchbakup0707/lib/liblasDsm_mcr/toolbox/compiler/deploy/matlabrc.m': No space left on device.
How to handle the problem of that disk space is not enough during N2510 patch installation?

Alarm Information
Null
Handling Process

A:
First step: delete unnessary files to clear up the disk
1.Delete the patchbakup* folders under the directory /opt/n2510/n2510/uninstall/
2.Delete early generated folders under the directory /opt/n2510/N2510_Backup/
3.Delete the files with suffix trace and core in /opt/n2510/var/logs
4.Delete the files under /opt/n2510/var/backup/wholeDB, /opt/n2510/var/backup/log, and /opt/n2510/var/backup/ifms.
Second step: Try to install the patch on MBCU again
Check disk information first
[ /opt/N2510_Software_Version ]df -h
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/dm-4              18G  3.8G   13G  23% /
udev                   12G  1.1M   12G   1% /dev
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvSoftware  9.9G  5.6G  3.8G  60% /opt/software
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvOra     99G   79G   16G  84% /opt/oracle
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvN2510  40G   30G  8.1G  79% /opt/n2510
/dev/dm-2             251M   22M  217M   9% /boot
From the result shown above, we can see there is enough space under the directory n2510. Try once more to install the patch, this time it is successful.

Root Cause
SSH to the MBCU, using command "df -h" to check the server space information.
[ /opt/N2510_Software_Version/20100721/mbcu ]df -h
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/dm-4              18G  4.7G   12G  29% /
udev                   12G  1.1M   12G   1% /dev
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvSoftware  9.9G  5.6G  3.8G  60% /opt/software
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvOra      99G   79G   16G  84% /opt/oracle
/dev/mapper/applvg-lvN2510   40G   40G     0 100% /opt/n2510
/dev/dm-2             251M   22M  217M   9% /boot
The directory of n2510 is full. Thus clear up is needed.
Suggestions
1. Before the patch installation, check if the disk space is enough. If not, it is better to do the disk clear up before the installation.
2. Keep an eye on Oracle space too. In this situation show above, 84% of /opt/oracle has been used. It is ok for the patch installation, but it is suggest to log in System Monitor Browser and use Database Monitor to check usage of each database and give a feedback to DB Administrator. DB clear up and enlargement should be carried out if necessary.
