Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  48 Downloads:  0
Issue Description

The U2000 cannot receive alarms reported by NEs.

Alarm Information

no

Handling Process

1.Log in to the System Monitor client. In the window that is displayed, click the Database tab. It is found that the record of the FaultDB database is displayed red, indicating that the database is full. Therefore, the U2000 cannot receive alarms reported by NEs.
2.As shown in the following figure, if Maximum Capacity in the Overflow Dump area is set to 800,000 or more, the FaultDB database is full when the number of alarms approaches 800,000.
3.Adjust the maximum capacity for overflow dump based on the size of the FaultDB database. For example, set the maximum capacity to 500000 if the FaultDB database has 800 MB of available space.
4.The FaultDB database recovers after a user manually dumps history alarms.

Root Cause

The FaultDB database is full so that the U2000 cannot receive alarms reported by NEs.

Suggestions

Adjust the maximum capacity for overflow dump based on the size of the FaultDB database. For example, set the maximum capacity to 500000 if the FaultDB database has 800 MB of available space.
