Issue Description

---------------------Display Version---------------------

Huawei Versatile Routing Platform Software

VRP (R) software, Version 5.30 (NE40&80 V300R005C01B323SPC003)

Copyright (C) 2000-2010 HUAWEI TECH CO., LTD.

Quidway NetEngine 40-4 uptime is 9 days, 5 hours, 20 minutes

After the customer made the upgrade to V300R005C01B323SPC003 he wants to add the display corrent-configuration in level 1 privilege level.

The network topology is not relevant.

Bellow is the non-working configuration:

display cur | i command-privilege

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | include txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | begin txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell dir

When the customer uses level 1 the system message is as follow:

super 1

Now user privilege is 1 level, and only those commands whose level is equal to or less than this level can be used.

Privilege note: 0-VISIT, 1-MONITOR, 2-SYSTEM, 3-MANAGE

dis cur

Error:Unrecognized command found at '^' position.

You can see above that the configuration is not working as expected, display current configuration returns an error.

Alarm Information

Null

Handling Process

I searched in the level 1 using display ? to find out if current configuration display command is permitted. The result is as follow:

display ?

……

ccc Display CCC connection

cfm Connectivity fault management

channel Informational channel status and configuration

clipboard Clipboard status and configuration information

clock Clock status and configuration information

component All registered component information

control-flap Interface flap control status

controller Specify controller

You can see above that no current configuration was included in level 1 even if the command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration was included in the configuration.

I have added the following line:

command-privilege level 1 view shell display

after I have added the above line line the configuration is as follow:

display cur | i command-privilege

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | include txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | begin txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell dir

command-privilege level 1 view shell display

I searched using level 1 to see how many display output I have after this command has been added:

display ?

….

ccc Display CCC connection

cfm Connectivity fault management

channel Informational channel status and configuration

clipboard Clipboard status and configuration information

clock Clock status and configuration information

component All registered component information

control-flap Interface flap control status

controller Specify controller

current-configuration Current configuration

Now we have the current-configuration command enabled in level 1.

Solution:

First we have to permit the shell display command and after that permit current-configuration in level 1.

Root Cause

I have analyzed the customer configuration which is listed bellow:

display cur | i command-privilege

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration ---> is not working

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | include txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell display current-configuration | begin txt

command-privilege level 1 view shell dir    ---> is working

On the level 1 if customer uses the dir command this is working but display current-configuration is not working.

Suggestions

If you will encounter this problem please add the line:

command-privilege level 1 view shell display

After that, level 1 can use display current-configuration.
