Failed to change 10GE Lan service mapping method to MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G) in TN11TQX board

Issue Description


A TN11TQX01 board place at OSN6800 (Slot 4). Trying  to configure the port to 10GE Lan using MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G), but couldn't change it, by default it's using bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G).

Handling Process


1 Checking the configuration of TQX board,in port  mapping ,ClientLP1 and  ClientLP2 are configured as "bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G)"

2 It is failed to change the port to MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G) because of ClientLP2 has already configured service. After  changing  port mapping of ClientLP2 to None, Modified  ClientLP1 port mapping to MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G),operation succeed.

Root Cause


1  For TN11TQX01 board ,if access service is 10GE LAN,there are two mapping methods can be choose during configure ClientLPx port. One is MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G) the other is bit Transparent Mapping(11.1G)

2  For 12TDX, 11TQX board, either ClientLP1 or ClientLP2 is chosen as MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G),the other port forbid to access service. ClientLP3 and ClientLP4 have the same relation.

Suggestions

For 12TDX, 11TQX board, either ClientLP1 or ClientLP2 is chosen as MAC Transparent Mapping(10.7G),the other port forbid to access service. ClientLP3 and ClientLP4 have the same relation. So realizing the limitation of board during planning,avoiding expansion failure .
