FAQ-How to implement protection group that will automatically switchover in case that on active SCUB optical link become fail

Issue Description
Q: Since customer have lot of problem with optical uplink and for that reason they want to improve security of service when optical uplink of active SCUB become fail.
In customer network we have MA5600T which have V800R06C02 version and which use two SCUB board ( one is active another is standby). We use one optical port on uplayer router which is connect through optical couplers to the both SCUB boards.
One of possible solution is to configure protect group

Handling Process
A: In order to save service when optical uplink on acitve SCUB board is fault we have to set protect group on active port:

The protect-group command is used to set the protection group of the upstream port. The protection group of an upstream port includes a master port and a slave port. In the normal state, the master port carries the service. If the link of the master port is faulty, the system switches over the service of the master port to the slave port to ensure the service transmission and provide the protection to the upstream link. After that, if the connection between the upstream port and the upper device is interrupted, services are switched over to the slave port and provide the protection to the upstream link
 

We can done this with following commands:
Huawe(iconfig)#protect

Huawei(config-protect)# protect-group first 0/9/0 second 0/10/0 eth workmode timedelay enable

It's mean that only one transmission port of the protection group is open. When the open transmission port is in the down state, the port is closed and the other transmission port is open. If the second port is in the up state, the switchover is performed.
