BUS-ERR reported on TN1M2ND201 (Optix OSN 6800 V1R4)

Issue Description
After I create the electrical cross connection between ND2 and TDX for 10GE LAN service, the BUS-ERR is reported to this ND2. But for cross connection of STM-64 services, the alarm is cleared.
This alarm occurs when the board detects a backplane bus error, or when a centralized cross-connect board configured with cross-connections exists and a standby cross-connect board is inserted but not configured.
After this alarm is reported, the 10GE LAN services are interrupted.

Handling Process
Cause 1: The ND2 board is inserted inappropriately or faulty.
1) Soft reset the ND2 board. But the alarm persists.
2) Change the ND2 board, the alarm still exists.
Cause 2: The XCS board is inserted inappropriately or faulty.
- Soft reset the XCS board. The alarm is not cleared.
Cause 3: The pins are faulty or the bus is faulty on the backplane of Optix OSN 6800.

- I delete the electrical cross connection and then I change the position of this ND2 and also the position of TDX, then I create the electrical cross connection between these two boards. But the alarm persists.

So,using HedEx library for Optix OSN 6800 product, I found that if I chose the mapping of 10 GE LAN as Bit transparent mapping, the line rate is 11.1 Gb/s, in the other side, the line rate of ND2 is by default 10.7 Gb/s. So, after cross connection of ND2 and TDX, the line rate of ND2 does not match the line rate of TDX. Then to clear this problem, I need to set correctly the rate parameter of both ND2 and TDX.

Cause 4: the configuration of the port mapping and line rate parameters are not matching.

1) I deactivate the electrical cross connection between ND2 and TDX for 10GE LAN service.
2) I set the line rate parameter of the ND2 board to speed up mode(11.1 Gb/s) and the port mapping mode of the TDX board as Bit transparent mapping (11.1 Gb/s). In this case, the 10GE LAN traffic will be achieved by increasing the OTU frame frequency. This ensures the encoding gain and correction capability of FEC. Otherwise, if you set the line rate parameter of ND2 to Standard mode (10.7 Gb/s), you need to set the port mapping mode as MAC transparent mapping (10.7 Gb/s). For this case, 10GE LAN signals are encapsulated in the GFP-F format and then are mapped into standard OTU frames. This mode supports transparent transmission of only client 10GE MAC frames.
3) I activate the electrical cross connection, the alarm is cleared.


Root Cause
Cause 1: The ND2 board is inserted inappropriately or faulty.
Cause 2: The cross-connect board XCS is inserted inappropriately or faulty.
Cause 3: The pins are faulty or the bus is faulty on the backplane of Optix OSN 6800.
Cause 4: the configuration of the port mapping and line rate parameters are not matching.


Suggestions
To prevent Bit Errors or service interrupted in client 10 GE LAN services, set the rate of both TDX and ND2 with the correct one;
- if you choose the rate of 11.1 Gbs, you need to set port mapping for TDX as Bit transparent mapping and line rate parameter of ND2 as speed up mode
- if you choose the rate of 10.7 Gbs, you need to set port mapping for TDX as MAC transparent mapping and line rate of ND2 as standard mode.
