Issue Description
Q:
Can ethernet port on MPU board of NE40E&80E&CX600  product be used as service port?
Alarm Information
Null.
Handling Process

A:
The ethernet port on MPU board of NE40E&80E&CX600 products can’t be used as service port, this port has the remote login telnet function and can be used for the board or system debugging, testing, the background operation, the fault diagnosis, the online upgrading and the remote operation. If this port is used as service port, large amounts of data packets will be imported to MPU, when these data is transferred to LPU board from MPU, it will use most of the ECM bandwidth resource between MPU and LPU, this will affect protocol packets and forwarding entries dispatched from MPU to LPU, the whole router will be endangered.

ECM tunnel, short for ethernet communication management channel, is existing between MPU and LPU, NAT, standby MPU, and its main function is for MPU to communicate with LPU, NAT and standby MPU, for example, protocol packets and forwarding entries dispatched from MPU to LPU are passing through this channel, but the bandwidth of this channel is limited.
