OSN 3500 report BUS-ERR alarm due to wrong cable connection

Publication Date:  2012-07-25 Views:  31 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
In contry x project Y we installed OSN3500 with 2 subrack master and slave and we have STM_1 dropped from master subrack to PQ1 card in the extended subrack.

Alarm Information
BUS-ERR  on  59,60 XCE CARD in extended subrack .

Handling Process
to connect 2 subrack we should connect master and EX-subrack as:
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No1 -P1 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE Card No2  - P1
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No2 -P1 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE Card No1  - P1
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No1 -P2 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE Card No1  - P2
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No2 -P2 TO Extended Sub Rack- XCE Card No2  - P2

Root Cause
when I configured trafiic in the master Subrack BUS-ERR did not appear but when I dropped stm_1 from the intreface in master subrack to extended sub rack ,I had BUS-ERR alarm.after checking document I found no right description for my problem then I analysised the alarm state which was disapeared when I deleted cross connection between STM_1 in master and PQ1 module in EX-subrack,I recognised that there  was no right connection between XCE and SXCSB moduled then I did the connection as following:
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No1 -P1 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE  Card No2  - P1
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No2 -P1 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE Card No1  - P1
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No1 -P2 TO Extended Sub Rack - XCE Card No1  - P2
Main Sub rack - SXCSB Card No2 -P2 TO Extended Sub Rack- XCE Card No2  - P2

Suggestions
check the cable connection between master and EX-Subrack in OSN3500 with the black cables (XCE-SXCSB cable).
