During working for project X in country Y, and while we was doing the alignment for MW link with configuration (1+0), we couldn't got the desired RSL according to design.
RSL desired = -36dBm.
No alarm was appeared.
1.the first steps was testing IF connector by using Navigator tool with commend:
Opto: 17,0,b1,1,4f,15 (ODU slot number in Hexadecimal).
after applied this commend we will have:
XX //result in hexadecimal
Total records :1
to find the final result:
Fr=-(FF-XX) //Final result in hexadecimal
convert final result to Decimal.
If Fr (decimal) less that -10dBm, means connecter problem
in our case the result was (02) ==> Fr=-(FF-02= FD) in Hexadecimal which is equal in Decimal to (-235)
it is totally out of rang !!!
after contacting with R&D, he feedback us that:
If the value is 02, 03 ... etc, it's a positive value, it's actual is +02, +03...
if the value is -02, we only can show it as FD (FF-02 = FD HEX), because the computer can't show "-02" directly.
therefore we ensured that there is no problem with IF connector.
2.the next step was by testing ODU installation, it appeare that there is mismatching between ODU and antenna because of "Lubricant" in horn of ODU, by clean it and reinstalled it...it was ok and we got the desired RSL signal.
after make sure of link design, LOS, and confugurations and as we couldn't achive desired Rx level; therefore the resones caused this:
1.wrong installation for IF cable - IF connector.
2. wrong installation for ODU (mismatching between ODU and Antenna).
Navigator commends is usefull, specially during the testing the installtion issues.
subcontarctor should be carefull during installation and follow Huawei standard.
