How to Retrieve the Password of the Administrator for the S5000 Storage System?

Issue Description
The customer fails to log in to the S5000 storage system by using the default password of user admin.

Handling Process

Step 1 Connect the serial port on the secondary controller of the storage system to the maintenance terminal, and restart the secondary controller.

 Step 2 Log in to the storage system immediately after the login screen is displayed. The user name is admin and password is 123456. Note that the OS has just been loaded to the storage system.

 Step 3 After the storage system restarts up, perform the primary/secondary switchover, that is, change the controller connected the maintenance terminal to the primary controller.

 Step 4 Enter the debug mode and run the passwd command to change the password. passwd admin. Enter the new password 123456.

 Step 5 Return to the CLI, and run the chgpasswd command to change the password.?? Note: Change the password of user admin. OceanStor: admin> chgpasswd Old Password: Changing password for admin.
