Loop back router cause call block

Publication Date:  2012-09-27 Views:  98 Downloads:  0
Issue Description
There are 2 GK, terminal under GK1 can’t call through certain cell phone number segment under GK2 A8010 gateway, and without ring called by PSTN.
Alarm Information
Terminal prompts call fail
Handling Process
1. Check the router’s configuration. Because both GKs defined the call outside the province, so the route lists of two GKs have a 0 prefixal route, and GK1 defines only part of the prefixal route under GK2, can call through the number segment of GK2 gateway prefixal route set on GK1. When terminals under GK1 call the number segment that not defined the gateway prefix route information, it will send the message to analyze on GK, because the prefix is 0, the route list will send LRQ message to GK2, and GK2 can’t search for called number, and thinks the calling number is not local number and transmit, causing route loop.
2. Add gateway of other number segment on route list of GK1, and problem is solved.
Root Cause
1. Fail to check log information on GK, can’t locate the problem
2. Check the log on GK by telnet, GK log prompts gkrejcircuitrounte, GK reject loopback fail, judge the problem on GK’s configuration
Suggestions
When we encounter the problem of terminal call, we should check the prompting information first.  Use telnet GK to check GK log information when we are locating the problem. If the rejection information is GKrEJ, we can locate and analyze the problem by the reason after rejection information. GK rejection information can locate most problems
