Handling Process
Add multipathing guide option in grub configuration file:
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,1)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/VolGroup_ID_7975/LogVol1
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/sda2
default=1
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
title Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (2.6.18-194.el5)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.el5 ro root=/dev/VolGroup_ID_7975/LogVol1 rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.18-194.el5.img
title Linux with UltraPath
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.el5 ro root=/dev/VolGroup_ID_7975/LogVol1 rhgb quiet
initrd /mpp-2.6.18-194.el5.img

Root Cause
Through analyzing system grub guiding file, the configuration is:
# grub.conf generated by anaconda
#
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file
# NOTICE: You have a /boot partition. This means that
# all kernel and initrd paths are relative to /boot/, eg.
# root (hd0,1)
# kernel /vmlinuz-version ro root=/dev/VolGroup_ID_7975/LogVol1
# initrd /initrd-version.img
#boot=/dev/sda2
default=0
timeout=5
splashimage=(hd0,1)/grub/splash.xpm.gz
hiddenmenu
title Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server (2.6.18-194.el5)
root (hd0,1)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.18-194.el5 ro root=/dev/VolGroup_ID_7975/LogVol1 rhgb quiet
initrd /initrd-2.6.18-194.el5.img
It lacks configuration of multipathing guide option.
Suggestions
Add multipathing guide option, multipathing status resume to normal.
