Solution to abnormity of IOfencing when VIS storage powered off abnormally

Issue Description
Array2 started up successfully when powered off and Array1 rebooted successfully when powered off.

1. The host reads and writes the mirror volume with IOmenter.
2. Array2 started up successfully when powered off and Array1 rebooted successfully when powered off.

Recovery process of the fault
• Step 1: The state of the private disks is unknown after Array2 powered off, so we didn’t do the resynchronization. But the mirror volume has been synchronized. The state of the private is abnormal after Array1 rebooted with power-off.
• Step 2: Reboot VIS to make the status of the private disk normal.
• Step 3: Stop the service the host provided VIS with, and delete the mapping from VIS to the host. Actually, it has been stopped, but the host was still dispensing IO
• Step 4: Run command “vxdg deport dg001” to export the disks in dg001.

• Step 5:Make sure the hard disks in array dg001 has been exported all and run command “vxdg -Sc import dg001”to import all the hard disks in dg001.
• Step 6: Recover the mirror volume as the following steps.

 step 7: Map the volume recovered to the host and keep on serving.
Root Cause
VIS: the private disks are all abnormal. It is found the disks except the private disks are all in the hard disk group unused and the state of the hard disk group is abnormal.

Suggestions
Warning: For both arrays have been rebooted and the status of all the private disks is abnormal, the following method may make the “vxcongfig” hanged, we can’t use it.
• Stop the host service for the business of the host can’t dispense.
• Delete the map from VIS to the host.
• Recover the status of the private disks and run the following commands in CLI debug mode:
mml mir online 0
mml mir online 1
• The IOfencing came to normal after the recovery of the private disks.
• Export the disks in dg001 with command “vxdg deport dg001”
• The ” vxcongfig” hanged, like this:
