Issue Description
Increase virtual interface failed.

Handling Process
 Step 1. Make sure that the network element connection normal.
1. Select the NE to be operating on the main topology, click the right button, select "Tools> Ping".
2. In "Ping" dialog box, click “Start”.
3. If in the “result” area box displays the following information means network element connection normal.
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes = 32 time = 1ms TTL = 250
 
Step 2. Ensure the Telnet / STelnet parameters configuration is correct.
1. Select the NE to be operating on the main topology, right-click, select "Set NE Telnet / STelnet parameters.
2. Click "test", if it says "the test is successful", means NE Telnet / STelnet parameters are configured correctly.

   Step 3. Ensure that the user have operation rights to increase virtual interface.
1. In the main menu, select “System> NMS Security> NMS User Management "
2.On the "user" node of “Network Management User Management” navigation tree, select the corresponding user name.
3. View in the right side “operating rights” tab whether the user has the permission of the "R series of operator actions set" or "R Series maintainers set of operations”, if have no permission, apply to the administrator to add the corresponding permissions.
For example: If a user is assigned NE40E NE has permission to increase the virtual interface. In the “Network Management User Management” navigation tree right side “operating rights” tab whether the user has the permission of the "R series of operator actions set" or "R Series maintainers set of operations”

Step 4. Ensure that interface number is correct.
1. Select the NE to be operating on the main topology, right-click, select "Tools> Telnet".
2. In the command window, view the interface range of network elements can support, enter the following commands:
system-view
interfaceinterface typeinterface number
---- End


Root Cause
1   Network element connection abnormal.
2   Telnet/STelnet parameters configuration is incorrect.
3   User does not have operation rights.
4   Interface number is incorrect.
