Issue Description
A customer plugged out and in a 4x1G iSCSI interface card on a S5600T B controller, the red indicator of the interface was on, and the red indicator of the alarm system was on too. After the customer had cleared out the alarm in the ISM management interface, the alarm indicator of the system recovered to be normal, whoever the red indicator of the 4x1G iSCSI interface card is still on. Plugged out and in once again, the indicator of the interface card is extinct, but the system couldn’t identify this interface card.
Alarm Information
None
Handling Process
Method one:
1. Plug out and in the interface card once again, confirm that this interface has plugged in correctly;
2. Press the indicator button of the interface card with the pen-point;
3. Power on the interface card normally, the indicator was green, and the system can identify it normally.
Method two:
1. Plug out and in the interface card once again, confirm that this interface has plugged in correctly;
2. Login in the CLI mode, power on the interface module whose ID is 1 on the controller A.
admin:/>poweronifmodule -c a -if 1
command operates successfully.
3. Execute the command “showifmodule -c controller id -if interface module id”, and view the configuration.

4. Power on the interface card normally, the indicator was green, and the system can identify it normally.
Root Cause
Because the S5000T device can control the single powering on, powering off operation for each interface card, combined the actual fault symptom, we can confirm the cause is the 4x1G iSCSI interface card hasn’t powered on.
Suggestions
Because the S5000T device can control each interface card’s single powering on, powering off operation, so it’s necessary to master the methods of the interface card’s single powering on, powering off operation; in addition, pay attention not to confuse the reset button of the interface card and the controller as they are near to each other.
